Dennis called this morning to help me identify that big yellow ball in the sky! IT'S THE SUN!! And we determined that the blue stuff is THE SKY!! It is a glorious day! 75 degrees; slight breeze, humidity not so bad. Very, very nice. Makes me just burst out in song. And this is my very own dead tree. It's sad, isn't it?
Speaking of singing, we're very grateful to Skyline Baptist Church for the gift of 20 hymnals. That will help so much with paper, ink and time spent burning CD's for worship music. We will still use CD's here at Oak Grove but we will use the hymnals a lot, also.
As promised, I found CNN Headline News on local cable and watched last night. Click here for the transcript of the show with Joel C. Rosenberg as guest. Very interesting.
After lunch, Don got his glass of water and Yahtzee game and went outside to enjoy the beautiful day. In a few minutes, I followed... well, where is he? I know it's not the rapture, 'cause I'm still here. So, I start walking and didn't have to go far. Found him, exploring the new sites below us. Don picked up our new 'shingle' this morning. Notice that it's in the shape of a 5th wheel. "I see the moon, the moon sees me. God bless the moon and God bless me." Do you see it? A lot of the rocks that they are dozing up have shiny sparkles in them. Wish I could move some of these rocks up to our site and make a rock garden. This picture is for Rocket.. he likes rocks. Hope you can see the sparkles, Rocket. At 5:00 p.m (rush hour) we left the 5'er to meet Dennis at a property that CRM is considering leasing for headquarter space. If things work out we will be sharing the top floor with the local crisis pregnancy center. There were a lot of flowers around the property, pretty, but needed help. This is very interesting grasses. This is purely a weed, but it certainly photographed well... photogenic, one might say. And this was quite pretty and the picture does not do it service.Lonesome dandelion bloom. An abandoned stack of firewood. As you can see, I was busy outside, while Don & Dennis were checking out the possibilities inside.
When we got back to the park, we took a stroll around. First stop was Barry and Anna's flower bed. These lilies are stunning and huge! This is the Harley D. that I promised to get a picture for you, which is owned by the park co-owner. It's for sale, by the way. This patriotic HD is transported in this trailer which can be transformed into a camper. Pretty clever, huh? As we continued on our stroll, Bill was sitting on his front porch (he lives in the duplex), so we stopped to visit with him. Bill is so interesting to listen to. He has built or re-built 17 teardrop type campers and he's the person that built the interior of the Old Glory trailer, making convertible to a camper that will sleep two. He still owns all 17 of his campers and most of them are in a garage in Indiana, which was formerly a Hudson dealership. His photo album was incredible.
Tonight, we are asking for prayer for Barry. He has been having trouble breathing lately and his doctor put him back on oxygen, all the time. Barry has COPD. He is also trying to put down the cigarettes, so he definitely needs God's help.
Lucy's brother's funeral was this morning. We are hoping she and Bubba will be able to be back by the end of this week, at least. We sure miss them.
I spoke with JoAnne Miller (Quail Run neighborhood friend) briefly today and they are all ok and have survived the Omaha storms. Also, received an email from Susan and Harold Keefer who are in Nebraska also and receiving lots of rain. They're doing well and it was wonderful to hear from them.... So many wonderful folks we wish we could have spent more time with.
It's time to put this posting to bed.
God bless you. God bless America. God bless Israel.
