We had lunch a Keese’s BBQ in Medina then down the street to the Apple Store for dessert… that’s right, apple ice cream.
After taking a picture of the Medina U.S. flag, we headed down Highway 16 toward Kerrville, but alas, a road we’ve never been on caught Don’s eye and off we went on FM 337. Very soon, we saw a sign, “Lavender Farm Open Today.” We drove for several miles and decided we had missed it as we enjoyed the scenery and I snapped “going down the road” pictures. And then we saw signs again and there it was. The owner, Patience, met us outside after we parked. Yes, the owner of the Lavender farm was named Patience. Perfect. And what a delightful and informative lady. She related that her 78 year old mother actually owns the 100 plus acres that the farm is on. Patience and her husband built this store out of recycled material and it’s full of character.
As you can tell, we made it back to the Q with goodies from the Apple Store and The Imagine Lavender Farm. Please click on the link and check it out.
Did you know that
Lavande is French for lavender and is pronounced …. drum roll, please…. LaVon, or close enough to make me ask, “what did you say?”
No wonder I am always telling Don that, “I’m a delicate flower.” Stop laughing.
Patience was a sweetheart and gave me a sachet packet to put under my pillow…. for my birthday. Well, duh, of course I told her it was my birthday week!!! I’m on a roll here!
