Take the Right Path

An excerpt from
Inspired Faith 365 Days a Year

Take the Right Path
"We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all."
Isaiah 53:6
"The word of God hidden in the heart is a stubborn voice to suppress."
Billy Graham

It's not that hard to take a wrong turn in life. Doing the wrong thing, if we're honest, has an allure. It's called temptation. When we look around, it's common to spot someone who has gone astray wayward sons, daughters, friends, and acquaintances fill prisons and homeless shelters, church pews, and cubicles alike.
The good news is that when we repent, God can turn us around and help us find our way again. The better news is that He offers plenty of advice for how to live well in the world so that we can avoid going off the rails in the first place. The book of Proverbs alone is a treasure trove of principles for living: work hard, watch the time, don't live just for pleasure, make following God your primary concern. These aren't burdensome rules; they're simply guidelines for living the game of life well and effectively.
Open your Bible and let God lead you today. He'll show you the right path to take.

Dear Lord, thank You for picking me up and setting me on the right path. Give me understanding of Your principles for living. Amen.
