On our walk this morning around the block that starts behind the park, the geese were out. One started honking and running, making me thinking he was going to chase us.
But the dog at the top of the steps had started barking and the goose was running around the house, honking at the dog as if to say, “Stop barking!!!” It was so funny.
Would you believe that this huge house only has one bedroom. The owner was leaving as we walked by and he stopped to visit with us to tell us about his little rescued pug doggy.. the one holding her paw up in the picture. Really nice guy.
Didn’t tarry but a minute. Don is highly allergic to bee stings.
Got a surprise when I downloaded the pictures of this old truck. I never noticed the Mocking bird, but then I was about 25 yards away.
The Mocking bird does just look like a hood ornament.
Our local veggie/plant stand. Today we purchased cantaloupe, peaches and cukes. Don got tomatoes here yesterday.
The Axis deer were back in the pecan orchard this afternoon. This time there were three bucks in the herd.
I am a little puzzled about the blunt ends of this buck’s antlers. I will be asking questions of the locals.
Something spooked them and the whole herd ran back into the protection of the thicket adjoining the orchard.
Today was the first day that we officially got in the creek.
“oooooooo, it’s kinda chilly.”
This was my last picture. I put the camera away and joined him in the water. He was right! oooooooooooo!

So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.

The water was cold or was the air temp very warm or both?? Looks like a great way to cool off!!
Both, Joel. But it doesn't take long for the body to get acclimated to the water temp. It's a wonderful way to cool off.
