We rested wonderfully last night at the Lazy Longhorn RV Park and got up pretty early this morning. We took a walk around the park just to check it out. The streets and sites are all paved.
This couple views the local points of interest in style!
His lady can ride in the convertible side car or she can ride with the top up to keep her hair from getting wind blown.
The oleanders bushes are all in bloom and line both sides of the streets.
Honest, we’re in Texas, not Florida.
We were on the road by 9:05, traveling to a mild breeze and clouds.
A small RV park along the highway and by a sweet fishing pong.
Someone commented lately that they hadn’t seen any dead trees on my blog lately, so…..
No problem. Made clearance with at least six inches to spare. Others before us appear to have not been as fortunate.
The cloud cover disappeared and the temps rose. As I investigated the weather in the northeast Texas area where we were headed, storms were predicted, so we decided to spend the night in Waco. Yeah! We get to see grandkids and kids.
When we got to Midway Park, there was one vacant 50 amp site available for the night. Awesome!
Leslie called to tell us she was picking the kids up at school and was going to surprise them by bringing them out to the park to see us.
Pook and Diesel were so excited to see us, they hugged each other!!
It was so much fun seeing them.
Naturally, they were hungry, so I brought out the grapes. Camden got a rather sour one.
He’s looking for a good one while Emma works on her homework.
Homework all done, we walk down to the lake.
We all looked for flat rocks to skip on the water.
We were have lots of fun until a big dead fish float up to where we were followed closely by a snake who stopped out from us a few feet. Time for us to go to the play ground.
Pook and Diesel love playing at the playground.
Leslie went to get Bush’s fried chicken (Don’s request) for dinner and we went to their house for the evening. Billie came over to dine with us and she looks wonderful. It was so good to see her. She’s back at work and doing great.
It was a great travel day and a special surprise of seeing family a couple of weeks before scheduled. Leslie was thrilled with her bottle of pure vanilla that we brought her.

Always nice to visit family. We haven't seen ours in Illinois since last September. We will be heading there the 19th of May for a couple of days. That will be nice.
