Regal Eagle Family

This is our favorite spot in this park.100_2070

While walking we found this site that has a really nice patio, deck and yard with a carport over the parking space by the street.  The sites are very big.  However, they are not all landscaped like this one.100_2071

At another site, this sweet yard ornament. 100_2072

Purple is the color of the day.  I have no idea what these are but I’m going to guess Clematis.100_2090

Yep, pretty sure this is Clematis. 100_2091

Iris… one of my favorites.100_2098 100_2097

What a rare photo opp for Tulsa, Oklahoma:  a bald eagle nest with two young occupants, right in our park!  We didn’t see them, but were told they are in there. 100_2083 100_2094

Looking straight up at the eagles’ nest from on the ground.  It’s a big nest!100_2096

Perched on a pole about one half mile from the nest was one of the parents, keeping watch. 100_2099

Later in the afternoon, the mate joined the sentinel for a little while.100_2109

I am going to be sad to leave if we don’t get to see the chicks get out of the nest.

I’ve put off doing laundry long enough, so we went to Steph’s and took our laundry.  I was going to do it at the laundry in the park, but Stephanie insisted that I bring it to her house.

Stephanie’s flowers are really pretty.100_2119 100_2115 100_2117

Steve (that’s what Don calls her) prepared a delicious Mexican dinner.  We sure have enjoyed her cooking.  She’s like her dad in the kitchen.

Well, no one came to visit us today, but we did get a telephone call from Kathy Gordon (Jack Gordon), friends from Sunscape in AZ who are now home in Michigan.  We spent a week with them last summer while they showed us their state.  Was great to hear from them.
