My birthday day started out with a few clouds. We were on our way to the VA clinic in OKC at 7:30 this morning and out before 10:00. Don was due for his annual blood work, doctor’s visit, etc.
By 10:45, the clouds were clearing out and Don was very hungry, because of fasting for blood work, so we stopped at Jimmy’s Round-Up Cafe.
After breakfast/lunch we did some driving around to see what the storms had done. We are amazed at how quickly things have been cleaned up. We did see a lot of “blue-tarped” roofs.
This is Lake Thunderbird where a recent tornado went right across forming a water spout. I bet it was a red water spout. Can you tell that water from red dirt creeks and rivers flows into this lake?
This evening, my sweet husband took me to Charleston’s for dinner. My choice: chicken picata with asparagus, artichoke, diced tomatoes in a lemon butter caper sauce; served with mashed lightly garlic red potatoes. Really delicious. We shared a hot upside down pineapple cake a la mode for desert. Yes… to your question.
Many thanks to all who sent happy birthday wishes. At 8:00 PM, I am now officially 61 years young!
With so much attention today, I needed to read this quote (amen) by an unknown author:
A heart that is focused on others will not be consumed with self.

So glad you had a wonderful birthday. Nothing but the best for the bestest friend in the whole world! Donna sure hasn't changed any in the last year. Rick is going to get a fishing license here in WA. They say the walleye are great. I know if he catches any he will rub it in to Don. LOL! Miss and Love you guys. Stay safe.
