We went over to LaNae & Mike's about 3:30 p.m. and Mama thought it was odd to see pink and yellow balloons where red, white and blue balloons should have been if this was a 4th of July party. She was very surprised to find out that the party was for her. She opened gifts right away. This one is from grand daughter, Tammy and family, in Washington. This was a very clever scrap-book album of Tammy's family and Mama Trudy loved it. The Wallis family were all there, except for Dustin, who is a golf pro in Florida. Here's Mama with Hailey Wallis and the card Hailey and Ryan gave her. Granddaughters Leslie & LaNae and families gave her a portable radio/CD player. This is great-granddaughter, Lydia helping her.Leslie & CamdenLaNae and Lydia Ryan Wallis with the Birthday Girl. Ryan's single and he'd better watch out... Mama Trudy thinks he's really handsome. See how young she looks with him. ;-)Before the Wallis clan left, headed to Bob's brother's, Mama Trudy wanted a picture with all of them: Hailey, LaDonna, Bob, & Ryan. We first met the Wallis' when Bob was assistant coach at OU... Hailey was eight years old. My how time has flown by. It was great to see them! Mama Trudy with great-grandkids Camden, Lydia, Emma and Blaine. Leslie, Mama Trudy, me and LaNae. Diesel was having the most fun in the plastic ware. These roses were beautiful and there were pink and yellow balloons everywhere.
We came back to her apartment to rest until the second segment of the birthday party... cake, ice cream and fireworks. Mama did really well and did not get dizzy at all today, even when we did some exercises (therapy).
Everyone got here about 8:30 with the cake and ice cream. Mama Trudy blew her candles out with one huff and the kiddos clapped! Blaine, LaNae and Lydia I truly can not believe Lydia is this big. I know... don't say it.Before the evening was done, my sun glasses had cake icing and ice cream all over the. Leslie had to wipe the cake and ice cream off Pook's face before I took this picture.Everyone enjoyed cake and homemade ice cream. These two clowns tease each other about which one is my favorite. Tonight, Mike said to Khalil, "You know the movie, 'My Favorite Son?' The story's the same, only the names have been changed to protect the innocent." Good one, Mike. K-Man, you have to admit it was funny. After cake and ice cream, we all went to the front parking lot so we could watch the Norman fireworks display that started around 9:30. Norman puts on a really big show every year over at Reeves Park and it's not very far from Mama's apartment, so we could just watch from here.
The Birthday Girl has had a wonderful day with the surprise party and phone calls from family members. Sorry we missed your call, Tammy. We were outside watch fireworks and I didn't have my phone with me.
Tomorrow we plan to go to Don's sister Debbie's for lunch with his mom, Debbie and Steve. Mama Trudy will go with us. Hopefully, she will feel good tomorrow so we can all go.
Thank you for praying for her. God answers prayer.

Looks like your Mama really enjoyed her birthday party. Great pictures, as usual. So sorry we missed you all in Branson but we understand that you needed to be in Oklahoma. We have been in that situation too. We have you all in our prayers and thoughts.
