Bob and Barb came over this morning. Barb went to Bible Study with me [May I encourage you to experience the study by Kay Arthur, Lord, I Want to Know You, a study of the names of God. It's really good.] and Don and Bob drove over to check out Desert Valley RV Resort and then the sky divers for a bit.
As we were getting in the car to go to lunch with Bob and Barb, Dan and Pepsi Webber stopped by. We always enjoy the food at Macayo's. These are some very interesting frogs who are "living" at Macayo's. Outside of Macayo's Don's busy weekend was beginning to catch up with him, so we returned to Sunscape and Don to his recliner to get some much needed rest. As Bob and Barb were leaving, I rode to the Club House with them to introduce them to Alicia, our activities director. Bob and Barb "introduced" Alicia to Sherri Farmer via CD. Alicia is going to book Sherri for next season, probably in March. This will introduce Sherri to the desert valley of Arizona, which is Casa Grande.
Outside, Thelma rode by on her bike and stopped when she saw me trying to hide behind Barb (like I could really do that!). She had picked up her book from the printer and also had a CD that I gave to Bob and Barb. Thelma will be speaking at the Denver Church of God Women's Conference in Denver in April.
Well, it was time to say goodbye to our CRM Directors of Field Operations, Bob and Barb Ruesch. If you would, or if you know of someone who would like to be a chaplain or a part of the RV ministry or CRM, please give Bob a call or shoot him an email. The contact information is at http://www.crmintl.org/ . They are heading to Benson in the morning. It's been a very short week and we're sad to see them go.
Late this afternoon, it looked like we were in store for another beautiful Arizona desert valley sunset. While sitting quietly in the cactus garden, this little hummingbird rested and posed for me. Soon the horizon will be ablaze. I couldn't help myself. They were just right there for the "shooting," this pretty pair. Just a few more minutes. Even the warm-up is beautiful. We're getting closer. Jim, Toma, daughter Terri and granddaughter came out to also take pictures of the sunset. It's spring break back home and granddaughter is going home tomorrow with a gorgeous tan... her friends will be so jealous. And with a GRAND swipe of His Majestic Hand... there it is!! The sky is ablaze, just as I anticipated.Every position in the garden offers a different beautiful vista of grandeur. And then we noticed just a few degrees south, this amazing reflection of the sunset. God was putting on quite a show this evening. I was expecting the trumpet to blow any second. We were all oooo-ing and ahhh-ing... and no wonder. Just breath-taking. Look at those "brush strokes!" An encore and then it was gone. The sun has set on another beautiful Arizona day as we worship our Creator, Elohim.
