Wow, the wind is howling and we're seeing lots of dust blowing... seems as if Monday is angry. In the distance in some places, it almost looks like dust storms. It's also still cloudy, but no rain yet today. Max temp was around 60 degrees, but seemed cooler with the wind and clouds. The mountain is barely visible for the dust.
About seven ladies met at Donna's RV and had our own Bible study/share time this morning since our regular Bible study was canceled today because of the Park Property Owners' Meeting. Beth read Psalm 16 and Joyce led us in prayer to begin our time. The girls said they had heard Don's testimony/story and now they wanted to hear mine. It was a really good time of sharing and almost all of them related to one part or another of my story. Two hours and fifteen minutes later, I got back to the Quantum and Don was starving and about ready to send the posse out looking for me. We were having such a good time together that I lost all track of time.
We headed toward Eloy for a sandwich and we weren't on the highway but a few minutes when Don pointed out this roadrunner to me (he has the best eyes when it comes to seeing wildlife along the road). This roadrunner was doing a good job of living up to his nickname. After lunch, I showed Don the Youth Haven Desert Ranch at Picacho and then he wanted to drive over to the mountain range that seemed so close, but this orange orchard was as close as we could get. In this area, there is farm land of some kind as far as you can see in any direction. Don had heard about the Picacho Open Pit Steakhouse, so we rode around Picacho until we found it. They're closed on Mondays, so Don went inside the store to get a menu and hours/days they are open. While he was inside, I watched the hummingbirds feed. Before we got back to our park, the wind had really picked up and the tumble weeds were tumbling. As I stated earlier, we could see dust storms all over and we could even smell the dust in the air.
