Terrific Thursday

It started off terrific with hopes that it will end... terrific!

Don took is usual morning walk around the park.  At 11:00, he rode over on the golf cart to Sharon's for a hair trim.  He's found another buddy... they swapped recipes.

When Don returned from getting his hair trimmed, I got to drive us in the golf cart back to the club house for lunch.  (We really should have walked)  Don is ready to go eat lunch at the club house Today they served sandwiches: turkey and cheese, ham and cheese, or meatloaf; and soup: taco or turkey noodle.  We both ate lunch for $6.  You can't beat that!

Don was ready for Gunsmoke his nap when we got back to the "house." He was far away in La-La land when Millie, the park newsletter editor, knocked on the door.  We knew she was coming, so we were ready for her arrival even though Don was napping.  We had a good visit with Millie and she was off and on to her next appointment by a little after 3:00 PM.

We had a small piece of Jack's chocolate chip cake and a cup of coffee.  Then Don went across the street to Jack and Kathy's where he saw this:100_1470 OK, that does it... I'm ready to leave.  It's very little consolation that it's a dead scorpion. It was found under their patio.  Have you ever seen one this big?  I haven't.found under Jack & Kathy's patio at site #18 across the street

It's now 6:05 PM and the National Anthem is being sung at the NCAA Championship game.  I'm sitting in my recliner with the laptop (because I get too nervous just sitting here, watching the game, so I have to do something), so if I write ridiculous things, just bear with me.

The Sooners are running out on the field.... pump it up, boys!

We're wondering if Stephanie and Rick got tickets.  They're in Miami, hoping.

Ugh.  Commercials!

Oklahoma has won the toss.

Oklahoma has lost the game.

Oh, well, it's still a terrific Thursday.  I glad that our happiness isn't determined by the outcome of a football game.  The important thing.......

God will still be God in the morning.
