Saturday search

1-3-2009

Today was cleaning day which means, I ran the vacuum.  For Don, it meant repairing a hanging rod in the closet that had fallen down during our trip out to Arizona.

Our printer is out of ink, so we gathered our empty cartridges and headed to Staples to get a new one.  We also, did a search for a laptop, but didn't purchase anything.  Just don't feel the freedom to pay $800 for the amount of GB's we need... only to have it crash in 18-24 months.  I'm convinced they are programmed to crash and a computer specialists told us that was closer to the truth than we would imagine.  Not me... I believe it.

On the drive in to Casa Grande, we pass this stately piece of wood.  One day soon, I will stop and get a picture without the utility pole and lines and on a sunny day when it's trunk and branches fairly shine.  Notice the hawk sitting on a branch?100_1301 The alfalfa hay fields are so green and luscious looking.100_1302 Can you imagine living in this house during a dust storm?  We hope we never experience one of those out here.  This is a freshly plowed field.100_1303 I do love to see color in the desert, even if it is in town.  These were so vivid and will be even more beautiful in a few days.100_1304 Bro. GH came over to visit when we got home, offering to help during services tomorrow in any way he can.  He's such a dear man; wants to help with the transition of Don being chaplain/pastor and him retiring from that position.
