Ladies Bible Study Monday

I am so excited about the LBS here.  This morning, we had fifteen ladies present.  Next Monday begins a new study and Pat Sublett asked me to lead/facilitate it.  We will be doing the study on the Names of God.  Don started this study while we were in Branson last summer, but we had to leave before we finished.Sunscape Ladies Bible Study We have been created by this great and almighty God; created with a need to worship; created with a need to depend upon Someone greater than we are; created with a need for Security.  In our sinful and prideful nature, we often rebel against this God who created us and deceive ourselves with lies about His non-existence and sovereignty.  However, as born-again believers, as people who have surrendered our will to God's will; who have submitted our way and committed our lives to Him and His plan for us, it is our desire and will serve us well to learn ALL we can about this indescribably, great God and Creator we serve.

Please pray for me and pray for this wonderful group of ladies.

Don and I went to Casa Grande for a late breakfast at Denny's to use the gift card the LaNae and family gave us for Christmas.  In route, I finally got a picture of the purple privacy wall which is probably at least ten inches thick.the purple wall on 287  There's a house in the midst of these trees.100_1500    Don spent the morning with the truck/water leak situation.  He did find a reliable mechanic in Arizona City who diagnosed the problem as a leak in the water filter seal which requires a new water filter.  Don had to then drive to Casa Grande to order it as it had to be paid for before they would order it.  While there he also ordered a new thermostat, as it has likely been damaged.  $150 later, we are waiting for the new parts to arrive. Rick, the nice young mechanic, said he would not charge any labor to install the water filter... probably at least a five hour job.  Don would not hear of it at all and will pay him for his work.  Rick had been told that Don was in the ministry and it was a very generous gesture.  It's refreshing and encouraging to meet people like Rick, the mechanic.

Received a call from my brother tonight.  He had just talked to Mama and she wasn't feeling well.  Seems her blood pressure has been low most of the day which affects her blood flow to the brain and her oxygen levels.  Thank you immensely for your prayers for her.  She told me she would call LaNae and ask her to come stay with her, but that remains to be seen.  I'm sure she will, if she feels it's needed.

A new chaplaincy class starts Wednesday in Branson with sixteen new chaplains in attendance.  Pray for the safety of those traveling to Branson tomorrow and pray for the class which will take five days.  Dr. Griffin, our CRM pastoral director, will be instructing the class.  Please pray for him, also, as he has physical limitations and will need extra strength and energy to do this for five full days.

It's been a marvelous Monday and we are rejoicing.  The weather is beautiful.

Blessings to all and may you grow in the wisdom and knowledge of our LORD and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

LaVon, Email me your phone number. I have free long distance calling on weekends. I don't write my blog info to make anyone envious of my chance to ride. Just to share it with those who love horses and let you experience it with me. Hope it does not sound like bragging about what I get to do. Love you and miss you both.
