This is my day to work 12:00 noon – 5:00 PM.
This morning, the Axis deer were right behind the Q, grazing. I took these from our galley window inside.
Old Glory still flying after the 4th weekend. These campers have a nice pole attached to their back ladder.
Can you imagine if they forgot to take this flag down and took off down the highway! That would not be good.
Thursday was a busy day in the office with the arrival of a rally, but toward closing time, I was hunting for things to do.
Park owner Lisa has personal items and items she has purchased all over the Welcome Center. This nook is reserved for items from her husband Tom’s childhood. These boots are tiny.
Another pair of boots and a picture of his dad, who was the sheriff of this county at the time the picture was taken.
A 1937 Texas license plate that Lisa has in the menagerie hanging from the ceiling.
I don’t know if this is a relative to the owner, but I’m going to guess that it’s a picture that was included in an estate sale find. Whoever she is, I think she’s beautiful.
Remember the pictures of Major that I’ve posted earlier? This is a picture of Major and Sergeant, who died a couple of years ago. Major is now 36 years old.
So now it’s time to go to the Q. I’m pretty sure that supper is just about ready. Wink. Wink.
