Monday. Today is the day we have been looking forward to going to the Walker Memorial Baptist Church over near Bandera for the 2011 Gospel Sing-a-long for senior adults starting at 10:00 AM. We have the address and the directions so off we go, leaving the Q about 8:30.
The Bandera courthouse comes into view.
The Medina River has water. That’s good to see.
Heading on out of Bandera, we turn left on Wharton’s Dock Road, which is where the church is that we are going to.
And then, the yellow center stripe was gone were were in a very remote feeling area. We came to the Walker Memorial Baptist Church and there were no cars in the parking lot, so we drove on. We were both curious as to why the would be a road out here that indicated there was a body of water.
And a cat way down on the reservoir dry bed.
I wonder if this is Whorton’s Dock or what’s left of it?
Can you imagine how these people must feel, thinking they had purchased water front property?
There is not much water in this lake.
And what water there is, isn’t very deep.
Turning around, I found this oxymoron. And it had a sign on that said, “Open!”
That is where we turned around and headed back to Bandera. We passed the again, wondering why they didn’t get the word out that the sing-a-long was cancelled.
And if Pastor McGarity lived in the house next door, he didn’t come out to offer any explanation.
Not one single car in the parking lot. Nothing.
Oh well. We’re seeing new areas and there’s also clouds back this morning.

That is a real bummer that they cancelled and didn't let anyone know!! Maybe rain is on the way!
