It’s Labor Day weekend in Branson. The big Southern Gospel Picnic finale is going on at Silver Dollar City. We left the Q a little after 9:00 AM and almost immediately encountered the Highway 265 “parking lot.”
Needless to say, it took us a little longer to get to church this morning.
And the traffic stretched behind us as far as we could see…. rearview mirror shot.
We finally arrived at church and Sunday School class was another good time in 1 Samuel 24. Don was asked to preach this morning in the absence of the pastor, who is on vacation. His text was John 14:1-7 and it was so good to hear Don preach again. I didn’t realize how much I miss his preaching.
Back and the truck about 12:35 PM and would you believe it…. traffic is still bumper to bumper, but at least not in our lane.
We had lunch at the Olive Garden with Sally, Dennis and Lucian. PJ was having a bout with allergies and didn’t make it to church or lunch.
This evening was an evening of rest.

For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off. (Psalms 37:28)
Eternal is the abundant life of God's people! Praise God forever! We shall be preserved and we shall delight in glorifying God unto everlasting! Hallelujah! Fear no rejection for you are His and all things are bound together for your good. Trust in the incredible love of the Lord and proceed in that same love to preach this gospel of preservation to the ripened fields of the lost!
