Saturday morning consisted of Don going to the final session of the CRM Int’l board meeting while I stayed at the Q and did laundry at the park laundry room. It’s always good to get that done for the week.
Saturday afternoon consisted of Don going to Wal-mart to get a few groceries and I stayed at the Q working on copying pictures on CD’s for Dennis.
The rest of the day was spent watching college football games. We were happy with the outcomes. Boomer Sooners! Sic’em Bears!
I try to take at least one picture everyday and since I didn’t go anywhere today, I took this picture from my chair by the window of Table Rock Lake.
Today, Sunday, has been a busy day. The clouds were sitting right on the lake this morning as we drove to church. Don preached this morning at Hollister First Baptist Church.
Dr. Dan teaching the adult Sunday school class.
Sweet, sweet friend, Barbara Rhoads playing the piano for church. I was so engrossed in what Don was preaching that I forgot to take a picture of him, which is just fine with him.
After church, we invited Barbara to join us at the Keeter Center (College of the Ozarks) for their lunch buffet.
We had an hour wait, so we took advantage of the comfortable waiting area and visited.
This is the waiting area of the Keeter Center. These buildings were all built by students in past years.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, prepared by College of the Ozarks students. Every student works 15+ hours a week for their tuition, boarding and books. They graduate, four years, debt free. Most of the students are children of missionary parents. It’s an amazing college. Our waitress was Kelsey, a student from Budapest, Hungary. Kelsey is a senior, born in Hungary to U.S. missionary parents. What a delightful young lady. She shared with us about the public schools in Hungary. A class on Christianity is required and also the viewing of the Jesus film is required for a student to graduate. They understand that the reason America has been so blessed is because they are a Christian nation and that’s what they want for their country. Now… they are confused as to why Americans want to take God out of the schools and the nation. Talking to Kelsey was like a breath of fresh air. She was outspoken, gracious, confident and solid as a rock in her faith in Jesus Christ. I asked her what she planned to do when she graduates and she said, “I would like to go into politics.” Oh, that God would “raise up” more young people like Kelsey. There might be hope for our nation if so. God bless Kelsey.
Rest and a little Sam Bradford/St. Louis Rams football was the order for the afternoon, while I made more CD’s for Dennis.
As we drove back to FBC Hollister for church tonight, the Branson Belle was making her way across the lake.
Bob Ruesch, CRM field director, arrived late yesterday after having gall bladder surgery last week.
Quite a few CRM folks were in attendance as they have arrived to attend CRM Chaplain University starting tomorrow.
Dennis narrated the film of the ranch pictures while Precious Jade and Lucien sang. We found out that I need to condense the video.
Now, it’s late and Chaplain U starts in the morning, so it’s off to bed for me!
Blessings all. It’s been a wonderful Lord’s Day. Every day is the Lord’s Day!!!

That College sounds great for the ones that take advantage of it.
