Rain and the Showboat

Yes, I went to the gym again this morning. [She said as she pats herself on the back. Ouch.]

It rained almost all day today, but stopped just in time for us to meet friends at the Showboat Branson Belle at 3:30 PM.  The low clouds were still drifting around the Ozarks.100_2547

Jimmy and Lucy arrived first, friends from our first summer in the ministry and here at Branson.  Our Louisiana connection.100_2548

And then DeAnn, Bruce, Cathy and Jack arrive shortly.  All friends we met our first winter in the RV ministry in Arizona. Our KC connections.  Introductions were in order.100_2552

Once seated, we were served a very delicious three-course meal by our waiter, Ted.  Don talked to him and found out that he waits tables on the Belle three days a week and he also sings out at Big Cedar.

I took this one picture of the Branson Belle Showboat stage and band and then decided to just put down my camera and enjoy the show.  We all enjoyed the show.  Todd Oliver and his talking dogs are hilarious.100_2554

After the  “cruise” on Table Rock Lake, Don and I went over to Bruce and DeAnn’s RV to visit until almost 9:30.  Jack and Cathy came over, too, as they were parked right next to Bruce and DeAnn.  It so fun to meet up with friends and just pick right up where we left off the last time we saw them.  We are expecting a visit from both couples in Texas this winter.

While we were on the boat, I got a text message from Wendy.  They had a blowout on their 5th wheel on the way to Yellowstone.  Thankfully, they were okay and were able to change the tire and travel on to their destination for the night.  They will have to deal with getting new tires tomorrow.  Prayers are so important to us travelers.  Thank you.
