Today, we had the blessing of a reunion with our Arizona City Bible study group, hosted by Gary and Cheryl Cyphers. It was so good to see these friends after two years. We also enjoyed meeting two new couples.
Gary Cyphers is the facilitator of the Bible study which will be over the First and Second Peter and Jude in the New Testament. Gary does a great job.
After getting reacquainted with everyone and being introduced to the study for this season, it was time to enjoy a meal together.
It was a beautiful day to enjoy our meal on the patio.
Gary and Cheryl wanted a picture for their Oregon FaceBook friends. Cheryl is wearing Oregon University gear and Gary is wearing an Oregon State University hoodie. Would you believe this couple has survived fifty years of marriage? They’re wonderful!!
From Arizona City, we drove over to Sunscape as Lori and Norm had invited us for dinner. We love their newly poured concrete front patio so much that we sat out under the umbrella and played a couple of games of Zilch aka the Stupid Game.
When the sun goes down in the Arizona desert valley, the temperature also drops considerably. The Creator was playing with His watercolors again this evening.
NoPo grilled scrumptious pork chops and LoPo made a delicious salad for dinner. Baked potatoes were prepared in a very special way. Of course, I did not eat the potatoes at this point in my “eating program.” This potato queen would normally feel cheated by not eating the potatoes, but I’m tickled to say that I was not tempted.
I am also thrilled to report that I have lost 24.4 pounds since September 25th.
I am that much closer to riding a horse!
