We all went to Woodland Hills Baptist Church together this morning. The spirit there is vibrant and the people love the Lord and each other and are all about getting into the community with their love and service, helping and bring the lost to the Savior and meeting needs. We love a church that's not afraid to get "out of the box."
The music was tremendous, creating a glorious atmosphere for worshipping God and adoring Jesus Christ. A teenager from California, here visiting her grandparents, had gone to camp last week and was saved. She will be baptized tonight before Don preaches. The message by Bro. Bruce Christian, was about "Forgiveness"... so good. And then at the end of the service Bro. Bruce announced that Bro. Don Barker would be preaching tonight and explaining Christian Resort Ministries, Int'l. Yes, that's right, he said "Barker." But true to the sermon, Don forgave him, of course. There were five people on our row who said "BAKER" out loud when Bro. Bruce made his error. We all got a good laugh out of it.
After church, Don drove us into Oklahoma City for lunch.
In the parking lot of the restaurant, this cowboy was hitching his huge horse to his wagon.

This restaurant, located in front of the Stockyards, has been in business for many, many years. This is a picture from long ago that was hanging on the wall by our table.

Rick is a bit melancholy lately. He's dealing with the fact that his dad, back home, needs to be in 24/7 care and, well, you understand the emotions involved. Please pray for Rick and his family.
After a good meal, when we came out of the restaurant, this tourist was taking pictures and took a picture of me waving at him.
The big horse is all hitched up and ready. Looks like the wagon master is taking a reservation. I should have asked him how much he charges and where he goes.

There were a few trucks from feed lots unloading for the sale tomorrow.

Back to the RV park for our Sunday afternoon rest and then to church at 6:30.
Friends, Diana and Walt came to church on their Gold Wing. Diana said she's wearing a cap to cover up her helmet hair.

If you've never heard Don preach, he uses his hands a lot. He did a great job explaining what a missionary is and that we are all missionaries. There was a good response to his message and a sweet spirit in the room. We love being in this church and we really appreciate Bro. Bruce giving Don the opportunity to preach here tonight.
We are so blessed.
