Why go to church?

24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. – Hebrews 10:24-25

Do we have to go to church to worship God?

No, we can worship God wherever we are, so why go to church?

1.  Because God tells us to:  “not giving up meeting together.”

2.  For fellowship for the purpose of support and growth in faith and life… all the more as we understand that Jesus will be returning soon.

3.  For community, to love and serve each other and the world around us to bring glory to God and draw the lost to Jesus Christ.

There are many reasons why God instructs us to assemble together, but these are some of the highlights that Don touched on this morning in his sermon.

It’s easy for some to find reasons not to go to church, especially while on vacation, so we commend those who come to worship with us here in the RV park.  We pray that they were encouraged in their faith in Jesus Christ and we pray that seeds were planted where needed and God will continue to drawn souls to Himself.  We stand on God’s promise:

11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. – Isaiah 55:11
