July 4th is also Farmers’ Market Day

100_1300

Cukes, red potatoes and fresh tomatoes.  I like to wash our fresh veggies in water that has a little white vinegar added.100_1302

We took lunch… fried chicken, smoked ribs, sliced cucumbers and Leslie’s delicious potato salad recipe… out to Blanchard to have lunch with Don’s mom, sister and brother-in-law.

Leslie, your potato salad was a hit!100_1303

2 pounds of red potatoes, cut up and cooks to done, but still firm, not mushy.

One bunch of green onions, chopped.

One cup of chopped celery.

Real bacon crumbled… I wouldn’t dare tell you how much or how little.  It’s your call.

Salt and pepper.

One half cup of sour cream.

One half cup of mayo.

We like ours a little on the tart side, so added a dash of white vinegar to the sour cream and mayo before folding into the potatoes, onions, celery and bacon crumbles.

This salad is yummy warm or cold.

Happy Fourth of July!!
