Thanks to my niece, Tammy, for identifying Barry's lone wildflower. The search I made next, classified the delphinium as "highly toxic, may be fatal if eaten." It sure is pretty, though. Don would say, "there's a sermon in there" or "that'll preach."
Barry said this flower just came up voluntarily and he didn't know what it was, so thanks, Tammy, I'll let him know.
There are all kinds of beautiful wild flowers in this area. A lot along the highway and it's just too treacherous to stop and get a good picture.

I had no idea 'delphiniums' were wild OR toxic! I used to buy them to plant in my garden--they are gorgeous!
