Well, it’s time to leave Waco. We got on the road about 9:30 this morning and I prepared to take some going-down-the-road pictures.
The wind was gusting 20-30 miles per hour.
Our first view of the Texas Hill Country.
This stretch of highway shows why it’s call the Hill Country.
How odd. A huge bed frame made from local wood, I’m sure, out in the pasture near the highway. I suppose it’s and advertisement, but the sign appears to be face down on the ground. The bed was pretty, though.
We have arrived in Fredericksburg.
What a shame. This house is empty.
You know I like old wood sheds and barns.
We ate a late lunch at Wheeler’s, made a stop at Wal-mart for few needed items and back to the Q.
We hope your Monday has been marvelous.
Please say a prayer for Judy Long, (John & Judy are chaplains at Amazon.com in Coffeyville, Kansas) as she is in the hospital. John reports that she’s making progress and for that we are thankful.
