Our goal was to leave Parker about 9:00 AM. We had crossed the Colorado River a few minutes after 8:00 AM, so we were doing really good.
Only took a "few" good pictures on the road to Parhrump, NV. At a stretch of US 95, the ocotillo were loaded with blooms. Into Nevada, we begin to see Joshua trees...
... everywhere.
Now we are in LasVegas.
Looks like a nice pine tree, doesn't it? Look closely and you will see cell phone receptor type things. I remember thinking at the time I took this picture, "I bet I'm the only person who ever took a picture of this "tree." And then, I read The Traveling Cardinals! Peggy, isn't that wild?
On our way to Pahrump, the tallest mountains still have snow.
We arrived in Pahrump about 2:00 PM. My cousin came over to see us when she got out of school (teacher). We then went to her house and saw her hubby... just as crazy as ever.
I promise, he wasn't dressed like this when we went out to dinner.
