Poor little fellow hasn't been out of the nest very long and mama wasn't anywhere around, or at least I didn't see her. Quails were scurrying around everywhere in the cactus garden this afternoon, late. I can't decide what color to call these cactus roses. The Bunny Ears cactus has two different color roses. And a different color of Bunny Ears, red.Toma's Apricot Claret Cup is blooming again. A succulent called an Ice plant, hot pink.As I walked around the cactus garden, I was amazed at all the different flower colors on the Staghorn Cholla.
I don't know why I feel the need to report to you that I put off doing laundry as long as I could, but I did do our laundry today.
This evening, Don and I walked across the street to invite Jim and Toma to go to dinner with us in CG... last chance before we leave Monday. Even though it wasn't even five o'clock, Toma already had spaghetti with Italian sausage meatballs cooking on the stove. All the residents who stay in park models are trying to cook up all their freezer and frig food before leaving. So, they invited us to eat dinner with them. What a deal! We had every intention of buying their dinner and instead we get invited to eat with them. Don felt like he had invited himself for dinner, but Toma and Jim said, "No way, we'll take a rain check on that dinner invitation when we return in the fall!" That made Don feel better plus he put a nice salad together and, so, we dined with them. Toma's spicy spaghetti was delicious. After dinner, we played a game of Nil. Guys 3, Gals 2. :-( but is was fun and the fellowship even better.
Only one more full day before we leave. Thank you for your prayers for us. Thank you for praying for all the folks who are traveling, especially Glenda and Dan Bookey who left this morning in a class C motorhome heading for Michigan. Dan is one of the residents who has stopped chemo treatment for the cancer in his. It was quite an ordeal physically getting him into the motorhome. Glenda is about 4'2" and the most independent lady full of spunk and strength. We pray for their safety.
Tomorrow is Sunday. See you in church.
We are so blessed.
